Cannabis Returns

Cannabis returns are more restricted than ordinary retail returns because regulated inventory, product integrity, and consumer possession all matter. This page is educational and does not provide medical advice. Product availability, eligibility, pricing, and delivery details should always be confirmed in the live Nexus menu before ordering.

Understand why cannabis returns are limited, how to document a sealed mismatch or defect, and how recalls and device warranties differ.

01

What should you do with an incorrect item?

Keep it sealed, photograph the label and package, preserve the receipt, and contact support promptly.

Opening or using the product can limit what the retailer can verify or do. State the ordered item and delivered item clearly.

02

How should a health complaint and product complaint be handled together?

Medical safety comes first, while the package and order should be preserved for later product investigation when doing so is safe.

Severe symptoms, accidental child exposure, breathing trouble, loss of consciousness, or dangerous behavior require poison control, emergency services, or appropriate care. Do not wait for a refund decision. Tell responders the product, cannabinoids, approximate amount, timing, ingredients, and other substances.

After urgent needs are addressed, contact the retailer and manufacturer with the batch and report. DCC may also need a complaint if labeling, contamination, or licensed conduct is involved. An adverse experience does not by itself prove a defect, and a passing test does not dismiss the person's symptoms. Keep the two questions distinct and document both.

Current stock, pricing, order requirements, and delivery estimates live in the official Nexus menu.

03

What should be preserved for a device warranty question?

Keep the device, outer package, batch or serial information, charging accessories, receipt, photographs, and a factual description of the failure.

Note whether the problem is no power, charging failure, leak, clog, crack, overheating, or swelling. Do not continue testing a device that becomes hot or physically deforms. A manufacturer may distinguish hardware coverage from the cannabis oil contained inside.

Follow safe battery storage while the claim is reviewed and use local hazardous-waste guidance if disposal is authorized. Do not mail a lithium device without the carrier and manufacturer instructions. Safety rules can override the preferred return method.

04

How is a damaged package different?

Broken seals, leaks, contamination, or material damage should be documented before use.

Do not consume a product merely to test whether damage matters. Keep it away from children and pets while support reviews the issue.

05

Can an unwanted preference be returned?

Do not assume a sealed cannabis product can be returned because the flavor, potency, or format is no longer wanted.

Retailer policies and regulatory constraints apply. Review product details before checkout and ask support for the current policy.

06

What about a malfunctioning battery or device?

Hardware may have a manufacturer or retailer process distinct from returns of cannabis oil.

Preserve packaging, serial or batch information, and proof of purchase. Stop using a device that leaks, overheats, swells, or appears damaged.

07

How are recalled products handled?

Follow the specific DCC, manufacturer, or retailer recall notice.

The notice identifies affected batches and may give disposal or return instructions. Do not use the product while waiting for resolution.

08

What information helps support respond?

Provide order number, product name, batch or lot, package condition, photos, and a concise description.

Avoid discarding the item or moving it into another container. A clear record protects both the customer and the licensed inventory process.

09

How can a customer classify the problem before contacting support?

Separate order mismatch, package damage, suspected defect, device failure, preference change, adverse reaction, and official recall because each can follow a different process.

An order mismatch means the delivered item differs from the receipt. Package damage involves seal, leakage, crushing, or contamination concerns. A device can fail electrically while its cannabis oil remains a regulated good. A preference change means the correct intact product is no longer wanted. A recall is governed by its notice. Giving support the correct category prevents a long exchange based on the wrong policy.

Record order number, exact item, batch or UID, condition, time discovered, and requested resolution. Photograph every side of a sealed package when relevant. Do not taste, activate, dismantle, or transfer the product to prove the problem. Those actions can create risk and weaken the record.

Use the retailer's verified support channel so the evidence stays connected to the correct transaction and does not expose order details in a public forum.

10

Why can opened cannabis not be handled like ordinary merchandise?

Regulated inventory, contamination, product integrity, and the inability to resell returned cannabis make post-opening remedies narrower and situation-specific.

A retailer cannot simply place an opened package back on a shelf. Even a sealed return can require controlled inventory handling. That is why inspection before opening matters. Confirm product, size, formulation, ingredient concerns, hardware type, and seal while the delivery and receipt are fresh.

A restricted return policy does not excuse a wrong item, recall, or legitimate defect, but the available remedy depends on law and current retailer policy. This page cannot promise cash refund, credit, exchange, or redelivery. Ask support for the documented outcome and retain the item until instructions are clear.
