Nexus Comparison Guide

Scheduled vs On-Demand

Scheduled and on-demand describe timing workflows, not different levels of licensing or product regulation. This page is educational and does not provide medical advice. Product availability, eligibility, pricing, and delivery details should always be confirmed in the live Nexus menu before ordering.

Compare scheduled and on-demand cannabis delivery by planning, inventory, time estimates, address readiness, minimums, and missed-delivery risk.

01

What does scheduled delivery mean?

It lets a customer request an available future window when the retailer currently offers that option.

The order can still require review, inventory confirmation, and customer availability. A requested slot is governed by the live checkout terms.

02

Which gives better inventory access?

Inventory can change, and neither timing mode guarantees that every menu item will remain available.

Review substitution and confirmation details. A future request may be processed under different inventory rules.

Current stock, pricing, order requirements, and delivery estimates live in the official Nexus menu.

03

How should availability affect the choice?

Choose a window during which the eligible customer can remain at the address with ID and payment ready.

A narrow personal schedule increases missed-delivery risk. Do not plan an unattended handoff.

04

Do minimums or fees differ?

They can vary by address, route, timing, or current promotion.

Use the live cart rather than assuming scheduled service is cheaper or on-demand service carries a particular fee.

05

What if the timing changes?

Use the active order channel to review updates and contact support before leaving the address.

Traffic and route sequencing affect both models. Operational estimates are not guarantees.

06

How should a customer compare the two timing models before checkout?

Use the options shown for the exact address and day, then compare customer availability rather than treating either label as a speed guarantee.

A scheduled option can reserve or request a future window when offered, but the live terms determine how inventory, payment, review, and confirmation work. The customer still needs to be present with valid identification at the eligible address. A calendar slot does not authorize an unattended drop or guarantee one exact arrival minute.

On-demand generally begins the next practical fulfillment process, subject to review, inventory, route capacity, traffic, and current service conditions. It does not mean immediate dispatch. Before choosing it, compare the displayed estimate with how long the customer can remain at the address. If the person must leave soon, an apparently faster mode can carry more missed-handoff risk than a later planned window.

07

What happens to inventory between ordering and fulfillment?

Availability depends on the retailer's live process, and neither timing mode should be assumed to hold every item without confirmation.

For a scheduled order, there may be a longer interval between selection and delivery. The retailer's checkout or confirmation should explain when inventory is allocated, what happens if an item becomes unavailable, and whether substitutions require approval. Do not assume a cart saved for later has reserved a product.

An on-demand request may shorten the interval, but popular items can still sell out during review or route preparation. Watch the active order channel and respond to support rather than accepting an unapproved substitute at the door. In either mode, verify the sealed package against the final receipt. Inventory uncertainty should be handled by clear confirmation, not a claim that one workflow always has better selection.

08

Which personal schedule creates the lowest handoff risk?

The better choice is the one that leaves a realistic buffer for identity checks, access, traffic variation, and customer communication.

Scheduled delivery can fit a customer planning around work, caregiving, or building access when a future window is actually available. Choose a period when the eligible recipient can stay at the address throughout the stated range. Avoid placing the window directly before a flight, shift, appointment, or school pickup that cannot move.

On-demand can fit when the customer is already at the address and has a broad block of availability. Keep the phone reachable, prepare identification and payment, and give accurate gate, unit, or parking directions. Neither mode supports sending another person to receive the order without proper eligibility. If plans change, use the order channel promptly rather than waiting until the driver arrives.

09

How should fees, minimums, and estimates be evaluated?

Treat every operational detail as address-specific and current, then compare final checkout records for the available modes.

A service can apply different minimums, fees, discounts, or capacity rules by route, time, or promotion. Do not carry a number from an older order, service article, or another city into today's cart. A minimum describes the basket required for that option and is different from a delivery fee. Read which products and discounts count toward it.

Compare the final product subtotal, taxes, disclosed fees, discount conditions, delivery estimate, and customer time commitment. An earlier window is not better if it raises the risk of a missed handoff, and a later scheduled option is not better if a critical product is not confirmed. Nexus availability should be described only from the live ordering flow, since either mode may change by address and date.

10

What does on-demand mean?

It generally means requesting the next practical delivery workflow rather than a future slot.

It does not guarantee immediate dispatch or an exact arrival minute. Route conditions and verification still apply.
