Delivery Windows

A delivery window is an operational estimate, not a promise that the vehicle will arrive at one exact minute. This page is educational and does not provide medical advice. Product availability, eligibility, pricing, and delivery details should always be confirmed in the live Nexus menu before ordering.

Understand estimates, route sequencing, traffic, address access, order review, and how to prepare for a cannabis delivery window.

01

When does the estimate begin to matter?

The useful estimate appears after the address and order can be reviewed for current service.

A menu visit alone does not reserve a route position. Inventory, eligibility, payment, and address questions can delay confirmation.

02

What if the window no longer works?

Use the order support channel to ask about available options before the driver reaches the address.

Cancellation or rescheduling policies can depend on order status. Do not leave and ask for unattended delivery.

Current stock, pricing, order requirements, and delivery estimates live in the official Nexus menu.

03

Which events occur before an order can enter a driver route?

Address eligibility, customer verification, payment status, inventory, discounts, minimums, order review, and delivery inventory preparation can all affect dispatch.

Submitting checkout is not always the same as route assignment. A product can sell out, a document can need review, or an access note can require clarification. The most useful time estimate is the one attached to the accepted active order. A general marketing statement cannot account for the current basket and address.

Keep the phone available during review. A quick answer about a gate, substitution, or document can prevent the order from pausing. If the customer will not be available throughout the updated window, contact support before assignment rather than hoping the driver arrives at the preferred edge of the estimate.

Why can route sequence change after dispatch?

Traffic, road closures, weather, vehicle needs, customer delays, safe routing, and regulated delivery activity can alter the practical order of stops.

A route estimate is based on conditions known at the time. A gate problem at one stop or collision on a major road can affect later arrivals. California rules also restrict where a delivery employee travels while carrying cannabis, with limited reasons for necessary deviations. The driver cannot always take an informal shortcut or personal errand that a mapping app suggests.

Live status and direct order messages should replace the original estimate when they update. Repeated calls to the driver can create distraction and rarely improve traffic. Use the support channel for a material delay, and keep the entrance accessible, identification ready, and payment prepared so the customer's own stop does not add another avoidable hold.

05

What should a customer do when the window conflicts with a new obligation?

Contact support immediately to learn whether cancellation, rescheduling, or another compliant option remains available at the order's current stage.

Do not leave identification with a neighbor, ask a child to answer, or request a porch drop. The verified customer needs to complete the handoff. A last-minute address change can also be impossible because the new destination may have different coverage, minimums, taxes, and record requirements.

Current policy determines whether a fee, refund, or promotion is affected. Document the request and response. For future orders, choose a window with a buffer around work, travel, appointments, and caregiving. Delivery convenience works best when the customer can absorb normal route uncertainty.

06

How should weather and regional traffic affect expectations?

Treat storms, heat, major events, collisions, and peak commuting as sources of uncertainty that can affect safe travel and route sequence.

A driver should not be pressured to speed or use an unsafe road to preserve an estimate. Sacramento-area bridges, freeway incidents, event traffic, and flooding can affect several stops at once. The live update is more useful than the original range once conditions change.

Customers can help by keeping access clear, providing accurate directions, and choosing a window with margin. If weather makes the property unsafe, contact support rather than asking the driver to cross a hazard. Delivery speed never outranks physical safety.

Extreme heat can also affect people, vehicles, batteries, and some product packages. Meet promptly when notified instead of leaving a driver outside while documents are located. If conditions become severe, support may need to revise or suspend service even after an earlier estimate appeared.

07

Why can the window move?

Traffic, weather, order volume, route sequence, access delays, and customer availability affect arrival.

Licensed delivery routes also operate within regulatory controls. A driver cannot always make an informal detour to preserve an earlier estimate.

08

Is the first estimate guaranteed?

No. Treat it as a range that can update as the order progresses.

Use live tracking or messages associated with the order rather than a general site statement. Exact operating hours can also change.

09

How can a customer prevent delays?

Enter complete access directions, keep the phone available, have ID and payment ready, and remain at the address.

Gate codes, unit numbers, safe parking notes, and a visible meeting point can prevent repeated calls.

10

Can the order be redirected mid-route?

Do not assume so.

Changing the physical address can affect eligibility, records, minimums, taxes, and route compliance. Contact support immediately rather than negotiating a new location with the driver.
